Servicing Case Studies

Sustainable Energy Systems Ltd place great importance on servicing and maintenance. As well as having many satisfied installation customers, here are some testimonials from some of our wind turbine servicing customers…

Alan Baybutt & Sons Ltd is a salad growing business based in Hesketh Bank, Lancashire. They farm approx 1400 acres of land and employ 150 staff during the height of the harvesting season. The company was incorporated in 2003 and has enjoyed healthy growth during this time. Supplying supermarkets, wholesale markets and the food service industry, it is important that they take environmental matters seriously. To underline this, they have become a proud member of LEAF (Linking Farming and Environment) organisation. In 2012 the Company invested in an 11kW Gaia-Wind turbine. The rationale was to reduce energy costs and promote environmental policies for the company. The energy from the turbine is used directly on site for workshops and staff accommodation.

“Sustainable Energy Systems Ltd are responsible for the service and general maintenance of our wind turbine. Any problems are dealt with quickly and efficiently. We are proud to work with Sustainable Energy Systems Ltd, as they provide a professional, reliable service. We would definitely recommend their services.”

Brownrigg Hall Farm consists of 600 acres. Maintaining a herd of 450 Holstein cows and 300 young stock, it is a family run farm with staff of two full time and two part-time. They have a strong belief in self sufficiency having had a bore hole for over 20 years and a heat exchanger to utilize milk tank compressor heat. The wind turbines have the potential to deliver almost complete self sufficiency due to the significant wind resource on site. Wind power is a natural progression, the limiting factors are planning constraints and single phase supplies. Having tried unsuccessfully to have a large turbine they were approved for 2 x single phase 11kW Gaia-Wind turbines.

“The previous company who installed our turbines left us very disappointed with their service. However following discussions with a friend who has the same units as ourselves we made contact with Sustainable Energy Systems Ltd who carried out maintenance and made corrections to the installations. They are generally more clued up and helpful. Since then we have been very happy with our turbines and the service we receive.”
